Formerly known as The Nostalgic Advocate, I have refined my mission to better reflect the source of my inspiration. Now operating as His Nostalgic Advocate, the name change serves as a daily reminder that my abilities as a musician are gifts to be used for His glory, not my own.

I view my work not as a career, but as a ministry. I am dedicated to using song and story to encourage the struggling, offer friendship to the lonely, and share the transformative message of the Gospel.

"LIVE BETTER. LIVE LONGER"

WHY MUSIC MATTERS

Live longer and happier in your golden years.

Music is more than entertainment, it’s healing. Science shows that music activates more parts of the brain than almost anything else we do. Memory, emotion, movement, and even language light up together when a familiar song plays. That’s one reason why people living with memory loss can often remember lyrics long after names and dates fade.

  • Music calms anxiety
  • Music reduces stress
  • Music reminds us who we are

There are many benefits listening to music provides, and the best part, it’s free, and doesn’t require any training. You don’t need to be a talented musician or songwriter, just find a collection of songs that mean something special to you.

Subscribing and staying connected will guide you with helpful tips and links to subject matter experts I personally follow. In addition, I will share insightful podcasts, classic music, and TedX talks. Please join me on my journey to share stories, music, and wisdom picked up while picking’ my guitar throughout Northeast Kansas.

My Mission

I spend a lot of time with seniors, not rushing past them, or talking at them. I’ve enjoyed special moments sitting with them, and listening, as they share meaningful stories.

They’ve told me stories of first loves, hard times, laughter, regrets, and songs that carried them through it all. I’ve seen faces change when a familiar melody starts playing. Shoulders relax, eyes brighten, and memories come back home.

That’s when I first realized something extremely important: Living longer only matters if we’re living better.

My mission isn’t about chasing youth or pretending aging is easy. It’s about honoring where we’ve been, staying connected to who you are, and finding simple, proven ways to make each day a little richer.

Music, memory, and human connection are at the heart of what drives me—because collectively, they are the heart of life.
